You can open a Classic current account at your nearest branch. Click here for a list of your local branches.
To open your account you will need:
- One of the following forms of identification (in order of preference):
- National identification; or
- Passport (mandatory for non-residents); or
- Driver license; or
- Birth certificate along with two current, postcard-size photographs
All documents tendered must bear a valid photograph. Temporary documents are not acceptable.
- Payslip and employer details - this must be less than two months old and validated
- Address details validated on a current utility bill - this must be less than two months old.
- Alternatively, three months statements from previous bankers, if available.
Self-employed persons
If you are self-employed you will need:
- One of the following forms of identification (in order of preference):
- National identification; or
- Passport (mandatory for non-residents); or
- Driver license; or
- Birth certificate along with two current, postcard-size photographs
All documents tendered must bear a valid photograph. Temporary documents are not acceptable.
- Address details validated on a current utility bill - this must be less than two months old.
- Alternatively, three months statements from previous bankers, if available.
- One of the following:
- Validated company financials; or
- Business contracts; or
- Auditor's certificates; or
- Latest tax returns
If none of the above is available then please obtain three months bank statements from previous bankers. If this is not available please call or visit your local branch for more information.
Non-residents
If you are a non-resident you will need:
- One of the following forms of identification (in order of preference):
- National identification; or
- Passport (mandatory for non-residents); or
- Driver license; or
- Birth certificate along with two current, postcard-size photographs
All documents tendered must bear a valid photograph. Temporary documents are not acceptable.
- Payslip and employer details - this must be less than two months old and validated
- Address details validated on a current utility bill - this must be less than two months old.
- Alternatively, three months statements from previous bankers, if available.
